This year, the Von Hügel Lecture will explore the profound motivations that bring human beings to study the cosmos, in celebration of the centenary of Fr Georges Lemaître’s residency at St Edmund’s House, and the foundational work that led to his proposal of what became known as the ‘Big Bang theory’.
